Johannes Springorum (1625-1694)
Pharrer in Kirchende

Pharrer in Kirchende
On June 2, 1660, Johannes was appointed adjunct priest at the Dorfkirche in Kirchende. By 1663, he had become the parish priest (Pfarrer) at the Dorfkirche in Kirchende.
Johannes Springorum & Johannes Springorum
Johannes Springorum (†1694), priest in Kirchende, should not be confused with Johannes Springorum (†1682), who served as a priest and chaplain in Bochum. The latter played a key role as a liaison between the Abbeys of Werden and Helmstedt and the Marienborn Monastery in Lütgendortmund.
Ancestors
Johannes Springorum was born in 1625 in Dortmund to Reinhard Springorum and Catharina Vasolt. He was baptized on the same day at St. Nicolai Church in Dortmund. In 1659, Johannes married Clara Reinermann, and together they had six (or more?) children.
Descendants
In 1659, Johannes married Clara Reinermann. Together they had (at least) six children:
- Caspar Reinhard Springorum (1660 - 1731)
- Clara Christine Elisabeth Springorum (1662 - 1706)
- Johann George Springorum (1664 - 1706), succeeds his father as priest in Kirchende.
- Anna Catharina Springorum (1667 - 1684), dies at age of 17.
- Anna Sophie Adelheid Springorum (1669 - 1712)
- Johann Friedrich Springorum (1672 - 1717)
- Johann Heinrich Springorum (? - ?)
- Bernhard Jacob Springorum (? - 1735)

Image: To the left under the arch, opposite the tower entrance, stands the grave slab of Johann Gottfried Gießler, pastor in Ende from 1707 to 1719. The grave slab to the right of it belonged to the burial site of Johannes Springorum, pastor in Ende from 1661 to 1694. Unfortunately, the text on this slab is barely legible.
