Reinhard Springorum is the earliest known ancestor with the name Springorum. His name appears several times in the church records of Dortmund, linked to both the birth and death of his children. The witnesses listed at the baptisms of his children include prominent figures, such as the mayor of Dortmund and the leading clergyman of the parish.

Johannes Springorum was the eldest son of Reinhard Springorum (1593 - 1666) and was born in 1625. He became a priest (Pfarrer) in Kirchende, Germany. Around the village church in Kirchende, several gravestones are displayed, including the one of his 17-year-old daughter. His own gravestone is located inside, beneath the church tower.

Little is known about Johann Heinrich Springorum, living in Heinrichenburg, Vest Recklinghaussen. It appears that Johann Heinrich first married Sibylla Vasolt. Could she be related to Johann’s grandmother, Catrinen Vasolt? After Sibylla’s death, he married Helena Herdinck. Johann Heinrich and Helena had three children together.

Johann Joseph Springorum served as sacristan in Henrichenburg. He married Anna Maria Stratmans, with whom he had eight children.

Together with his brother Barend, Willem Springorum emigrated to Amsterdam. Unlike his more adventurous brother, Willem settled in the city and worked as a grocer. He and Pieternelletje had eight children. The names of Willem and Barend appear in several birth records of each other’s children, showing their close family connection.
